Queensland’s Clinical Services Redesign Program: Program Review
Client: Queensland Health
Modern hospitals and health services are complex entities organisations that employ large numbers of staff working in professional, functional and geographic groups. Each group has an internal, usually hierarchical, structure, and orientates its work by the views held within its dominant professional or organisational membership.
Clinical process redesign is the application of process redesign and change management to health care. Importantly, clinical process redesign starts with the patient-eye view.
In 2013-14 KP Health conducted a comprehensive review and evaluation of the Queensland Clinical Services Redesign Program.
This review incorporated extensive stakeholder consultation, analysis of administrative and program data and a comprehensive review of the peer-reviewed and ‘grey’ literature.
